Have you talked to your ISP? This might also be a problem on their end
either with the modem or the transmission lines / connections coming to your
residence. When I had Comcast, I had them re-wire me from the pole in the
street to the house a then in the house to finally solve a poor connection.
Turned out in the final analysis not to be the wiring. It was a faulty
modem.

wired router.........but this started happening even without the router
It's a Belkin N300, model #F7D6301 v1........now that I look at it, it says
it's a wireless router but there is an electrical cord going into it and
ethernet cables go into the computers.
